Our client is looking for a motivated Network Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with foundational networking knowledge who is eager to contribute in network infrastructure and operations. As part of the team, you will support network implementations, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment (switches, routers, access points).
Support network operations for offices and event venues, ensuring stable and secure connectivity.
Help monitor network performance using Zabbix, Grafana, or similar tools.
Collaborate on network automation projects.
Document network setups and changes using Visio or Netbox.
Work with vendors and service providers to ensure network services are delivered effectively.
Follow best practices for network security and troubleshooting at an access level.
Responsible for passive network infrastructure, including installing and terminating copper and fiber cabling.
May require travel of up to 30% of the time, though this is not guaranteed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Work experience in a network support, network engineering, or IT infrastructure role.
Certifications: CCNA or equivalent knowledge (CCNP is a plus but not required).
Knowledge of LAN, VLAN, VPN, and wireless networking (nice-to-have).
Understanding in at least one of the following areas:
network automation tools (Python, Ansible).
network monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana).
Exposure to structured cabling, wired/wireless networks.
Language: Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset.
Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
