Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Security System Engineer to strengthen their IT team. This role is based in Switzerland and offers a great opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and protection of a robust IT infrastructure within a global, forward-thinking organisation.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and implement security solutions across Microsoft-based systems (Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365)
Configure and operate Microsoft security tools, including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud
Design secure remote access environments using Microsoft technologies (e.g. VPN, RDS, Azure Virtual Desktop) and third-party solutions
Administer endpoint protection and conditional access through Microsoft Intune and Azure
Investigate security incidents and respond to alerts using Microsoft’s suite of tools
Enforce compliance and data protection policies via Microsoft Purview
Ensure adherence to frameworks such as TISAX, GDPR, and NIST using Microsoft Compliance Manager
Harden systems including Windows OS and SQL Server using Group Policy and Microsoft Security Compliance Toolkit
Your Profile
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Microsoft certifications (e.g. Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; Azure Security Engineer Associate) advantage
Several years of experience in IT security
Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Defender tools and security management for Windows Server and client systems
Proficiency in identity and access management via Active Directory and Azure AD
Solid understanding of network security fundamentals, including firewalls, VPNs, and Azure networking
Experience applying security baselines and system hardening techniques
